DeviceLogix for Numatics School

This class is intended for the technical support personnel and design support personnel at each distributor location. This class may be appropriate for some sales personnel, if they have exhibited a high level of understanding of the G2-2 product, have strong computer navigation skills and intend to support their own program designs for their customers. The objective of this class will be to provide each student with the opportunity to learn a programming methodology within the DeviceLogix system using RS NetWorks software and Numatics G2-2 technology. Each student will demonstrate his or her understanding by writing a program using the Boolean logic function blocks, download the program into a G2-2 node and operate the node detached from the programming computer.

Pre-Requisite:

Students attending the DeviceLogix programming training should have successfully completed both Phase I � �Basic Electronics� and Phase II � �Fieldbus for Sales� or have equivalent competency and comfort with Numatics G2-2 technology. A thorough understanding of pneumatic design principles is expected.

Each student must provide his/her own laptop computer (with a 9-pin sub-D serial port) and copy of the RS NetWorks programming software (or at minimum the free demo software).
